What is Brandy? What is Moonshine?
You may be asking – “What is brandy? What is moonshine?”
Brandy is simply any liquor distilled from a fruit mash.
Any fruit can be used to make brandy.
Apple Jack is specific to an apple mash (we use apple cider!)
Moonshine is a blanket term for liquor, as it can be made from anything.
Most commonly, moonshine is a corn & sugar mash.
Our local sugar source in West Virginia is maple syrup – so it only made sense for us to make our moonshine from it!
