Classic Sidecar Cocktail
The Sidecar Cocktail – a delicious brandy cocktail originating from the 1920’s.
We asked our good friend Josh the Bartender to create this traditional drink for us.
Usually made with Cognac, we opted for our local favorite, VicBob’s Apple Jack.
Josh balanced the sweet and sour component of this drink into a refreshing pre-dinner cocktail.
2 oz VicBob’s Apple Jack
1 oz triple sec
Juice from 1/2 a lemon
Garnish with a sugar rim and lemon slice
Coat the rim of a rocks glass with sugar, if desired, and set aside.
Add the Apple Jack, triple sec and lemon juice to a shaker with ice.
Shake until well chilled. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a lemon slice.
